Elections Information

Term of Office

Candidates for the ACC Board of Directors, who will take office on the ACC's Annual Alumni Muster on Sat, April 18, 2026; and will serve in a slightly extended two-year term that will be up for reelection in September 2028, and will end on Citadel Homecoming in 2028.

Filing Deadline

Filing (located at this attached form) must be completed by Tue, March 17 at 4:00 PM EST in order to appear on the ballot, which will be available to GA-based alumni for voting from March 20 until April 4 at 4:00 PM EST.

Candidate Eligibility

To be eligible to serve as a candidate, one must understand and meet the following criteria:

a) Be a graduate of The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina.

b) Be a fully-paid Life Member OR Annual Member of The Citadel Alumni Association.

c) Pay, at the time of his/her taking office, a one-time payment of $110 to the Treasurer. These fees cover two years of dues ($40 per year for two terms); admin fees; and the manufacture, shipping, and handeling of a Board Member nametag and lapel pin. 

d) Please select to certify that you understand, have read completely, and will comply with the ACC Bylaws.

e) Agree to attend at least half of the Board meetings and half the Club meetings per year during their term. Per the 2026 Bylaws, Article IV, Section G: "Failure to attend two consecutive or more than fifty percent of a calendar year’s Board meetings may be deemed an intention to resign, unless these absences are excused by the Executive Committee at least seven days prior to a meeting. Special Meeting absences do not need to be excused."
